Mark Roettger, DDS, FASD, is Clinic Director for the University of Minnesota Medical Center, Fairview General Practice Residency Clinic, and is currently attending faculty in the University of Minnesota Hospital, working with dental residents treating medically complex patients. Dr. Roettger graduated with a BS in Biology from the University of Minnesota in 1977 and was granted his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 1982. Since 1983 he has been engaged in the practice of general dentistry, and sports dentistry has been one of his principal interests. He is a fellow, Charter member and past president of The Academy for Sports Dentistry and an inventor of the Under Armour Performance Mouthwear products. He was editor of the
