Some readers of A.D. 2050, original - German - version published by Münster Verlag, Basel, 2014, had considered 38 pages of Introduction - comprising my -fictional- idea of political events preceding the actual plot of 2050 - excessively condensed and difficult to memorize.
Consequently, in this new English version I replaced the bothersome Introdution by featuring major events leading to my… 'vision' of a future world-order in some of the early dialogues within the actual plot.
Hereunder just a few high-lights providing the framework of the global political environment in the mid 21st century as resulting events 2025 onward:
Preceeded by what history books recorded as Brexit, the European Union had gradually failed and fallen apart. Moslem immigrants and descendents - due to their excessive fertility having grown to many millions - had generated new Sharia orientated political parties popping up like mushrooms all over the places. In coalition with multi-culti indigene partisans, they gained majorities and won elections.
Fast enough, the new Moslem ruled administrations disposed of their native stirrup holders and merged their respective territories with the Islamic Chalifate which - under efficient Turkish leadership - had taken shape by the mid-2020th. Thus, a large portion of the globe - from Atlantic to Indus. source oft he Nile to Black Sea and Baltic - had been absorbed, without warfare, strife and destruction, by the new World Power ruling in the name of Allah, the Allmighty and Merciful.
All lands from England to Prussia, Spain to Greece signed over to the Chalifate were amalgamated into a province officially named Grand Emirate but usually called Rum, Arabic for Roman Empire and looked upon as its Chalifate's new crown-juwel,
Take care, dear reader - the Emirate Rum did by no means include, though situated in its very center, the Sovereign Alpine Union, abbrevated SAU, i.e. Switzerland enlarged by former French and Italian Savoy, both parts of Austrian Tyrolia, Voralberg, Charintia, Styria. Dominated by the Eidgenossen and their direct democracy. SAU controlled the subterranian routes through the Alps.
Also, a SAU - Swiss - cityzen, father to the plot's main character, had solved in due course - once again peacefully - the notorious Near East Crisis. A political high-light!
Learn about or even meet rulers and common people of countries in other parts oft he world, such as New Zealand, part of RASU - Royal Anglo Saxon Union - under king George VII., son of William V., former British monarchs, as well as, last not least, Latin America.

Hermann Janson:
Hermann Janson, geboren 1931, promovierte an der juristischen Fakultät der Universität Bern (Schweiz). Mit der Thematisierung des Djihad in seiner Doktorarbeit "Die rechtlichen und ideologischen Beziehungen des islamischen Staatenkreises zum abendländischen Völkerrecht (1955)" war er der Zeit um ein halbes Jahrhundert voraus. Die Geschichte der Araber und des Islam ließ ihn auch als Unternehmer mit engen Beziehungen zum Nahen Osten - er lebte mehrere Jahre im Sudan - nicht mehr los.
Als pasionierter Historiker und Kenner unterschiedlicher Kulturen vielseitig interessiert, schrieb er eine Reihe von Sachbüchern und Romanen zu geschichtlichen wie zeitkritischen Themen - siehe auch www.hermannjanson.ch.
Hermann Janson, born 1931, graduated in law at the University of Ber, Switzerland. As a businessman he spent his time in Germany, the Near East, Africa, Latin America and South East Asia. Hispronounced knowledge of the Islamic World encouraged him to write - amongst other novels - several corresponding fiction and non-fiction books in German language.
