The Author: Carol A. Mullen is Associate Professor of Leadership Studies at the University of South Florida and a graduate of the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education, University of Toronto. She specializes in mentorship and graduate student inquiry, and supervises Writers-in-Training (WITs), a thriving doctoral cohort. Dr. Mullen has published over one hundred journal articles and book chapters, and, as guest editor, eleven special issues of academic journals. This award-winning researcher has also published five other books, most recently Climbing the Himalayas of School Leadership: The Socialization of Early Career Administrators (2004). Dr. Mullen is Editor of the refereed international journal Mentoring & Tutoring.
