After we had freshened up we could explore the whole property. My son Christoph only wanted to rest in the terrace gardens until dinner. On the first early evening I dared to walk down the narrow alley to the beach. The stone stairs and walls of the house radiated a dry warmth from the summer heat. I couldn't stay long, however, because Carlo, the owner of the hotel, reserved a table in a fish restaurant for both of us at 10 p.m. The way to our hotel was exhausting on the way back. Exhausted, I first took a shower and felt like I was reborn.
