Surinder K. Mehta is a Professor in the Department of Chemistry at Panjab University, Chandigarh. His research focusses on metallosurfactant chemistry, nano-electrochemical sensors, the synthesis and application of semiconducting nanoparticles and on colloidal chemistry, including novel drug delivery applications. For his contributions he received several DAAD and JSPS fellowships, and also received the Bronze medal from the Chemical Research Society of India (CRSI), an authors award by the Royal Society of Chemistry (UK), among others,. He has been a visiting scientist to several countries including UK, Germany, Japan, USA and France. Prof. Mehta has more than 317 publications in international journals of repute with h-index of 44, and has authored more than 19 books/chapters.
