Autorenporträt
The Author: Niklaus R. Schweizer was born in Zürich. He studied English and German philology, colonial history, and the history of Great Britain and the United States of America at Zürich University and at the University of California at Davis. Since 1970 he is professor of German at the University of Hawai'i at Manoa, Honolulu. In 1972 he was appointed Honorary Swiss Consul in Honolulu, and he is an active member of the community there.
