o.Univ.-Prof. Dr. Edgar Topritzhofer has, for the past three decades, been teaching and researching in the field of export/import, risk analysis, finance and quantitative methods of decision analysis. Prof. Topritzhofer studied business administration at the Hochschule für Welthandel (now: Vienna University of Economics and Business) graduating with both a Diploma and a PhD. Studies were supplemented by various traineeships with UNCTAD-United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (Geneva) and with the High Authority for Coal and Steel (Luxemburg).
He currently is Professor of Business Administration at the Vienna University of Economics and Business and for many years has served as Head of the Management and Operations Research Department.
Prof. Topritzhofer has for more than 25 years been in charge of the academic Certificate Program “Exportmanagement” which under his guidance became an internationally renowned training center for the skills required by export/import business with approximately 3000 graduates from all over the world.
