It is a great pleasure for me to write some introductory remarks to this supplement volume to Acta Physica Austriaca. The reason for this is that the author not only is a competent expert in the field of weak interactions but also a longstanding personal friend of mine. Since the topic presented here is closely related to the subjects covered in our annual "Internationale Universitatswochen fur… Kernphysik der Universitat Graz" at Schladming, where the author has lectured already quite a few times, I readily agreed to publish this compendium in our series, although it is for the first time that a single author's work is published in this form. Another factor in this decision was that the presentation of the material shows the same spirit as the proceedings of our conferences: it should enable students and researchers alike to find their way through the various formalisms of modern elementary particle physics. One of the main advantages of this work is its coherence. It is not a collection taken from various papers in the literature; rather, the author has taken pains in computing and rechecking all the equations himself with some help from his that this collection will be of real research associates. Therefore one can assume use and help in the tedious day-to-day work of weak interaction physicists. Dieses Produkt haben wir gerade leider nicht auf Lager.
