The topic "Shrines vs. Temples" so to speak “David against Goliath” has occupied the author since his first visits to Nepals Kathmandu Valley and has now resulted in a comprehensive publication. One of the main motives was the realization that the small shrines have been much neglected in literature and tourism compared to the big temples, and he thought that this is not quite fair.
The aim of… this book is to draw the attention of the interested reader to the so-called "Roadside Shrines" of the Kathmandu Valley. These shrines, although numerous, can easily be overlooked in front of all the great temples and monuments (UNESCO World Heritage Sites). The Hindu and Buddhist shrines are described systematically and their secondary aspects are also included.
Everything is illustrated with a large number of colorful, vivid photos. Most of the more than 300 photos are by the author, but other photographers were also allowed to participate. Dieses Produkt haben wir gerade leider nicht auf Lager.
