Peace is the ideal form of human coexistence. Peoples and countries that live in peace experience a cultural, economic and social high. The perfect form of peace is the peace of mind. Among other things, religions are concerned with reaching him.
"Rest in peace" is what we wish the deceased on their last trip. But does this peace of mind really only have something to do with death, or can peace of… mind already be achieved in life?
Peace of mind is a very complex state that can only be understood and thus strived for through a comprehensive consideration of several aspects of life.
As described in my book "In five years I will run a marathon", I developed ME/CFS (myalgic encephalomyelitis), with a variety of serious symptoms and death fears. And yet there were always moments in which there was great inner peace. I began to take a closer look at these experiences and discovered that many factors play together to achieve this peace of mind. In any case, you don't have to wait for the death to get into this state.
The present book would like to deal with some of these factors and go new ways of thinking.

The soul, as an immortal consciousness, becomes the focus of people's attention, especially in near-death experiences. Many of these survivors of a near-death experience report having their souls snatched from the body and traveled through a tunnel with a light at the end. These reports do not go any further, as there is a return to this worldly life. Is this esoteric humbug, or is there solid evidence for it?
