He is the director of the Key Laboratory of Advanced Manufacturing Technology for Marine Energy Facilities in Guangdong Province, China. He has long been engaged in research on fatigue-resistant manufacturing of high-end equipment for aviation and marine engineering, dedicated to the construction of core equipment for offshore wind power, deep-sea oil drilling platforms, deep-sea oil transfer equipment, fatigue-resistant design of aircraft engines and structural components, low-stress manufacturing, laser shock strengthening, laser forging additive manufacturing and repair, etc. He has presided over multiple projects funded by the National 863 Program and the National Natural Science Foundation of China. He has won one first prize and one second prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award, one first prize of the Ministry of Education Science and Technology Progress Award, two Chinese Patent Gold Awards, two Chinese Good Design Gold Awards, and four first prizes of the China Machinery Industry Science and Technology Award. He concurrently serves as the Vice Chairman of the Remanufacturing Branch of the Chinese Society of Mechanical Engineering, Executive Member of the Special Processing Branch of the Chinese Society of Mechanical Engineering, and Executive Member of the Laser Processing Professional Committee of the Chinese Optical Society. Cui Chengyun, Ph.D., is a Professor at Jiangsu University, China. She has long been engaged in research in laser processing and surface engineering, laser micro-nano manufacturing, advanced material design and manufacturing, microstructure characterization, and other fields. Her research has formed characteristic research directions such as laser thermal composite surface strengthening technology, laser melting and oxidation technology, and laser micro-nano chemical deposition composite technology. She has successively presided over national and provincial-level projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation General Projects, the National Natural Science Foundation Youth Fund Projects, the Ministry of Education Doctoral Discipline New Teacher Funds, and the China Postdoctoral Science Foundation. Her research achievements won the first prize of Jiangsu Province Science and Technology Award in 2021, the second prize of the Ministry of Education Technology Invention Award in 2017, and the first prize of Jiangsu Province Science and Technology Award in 2013. Xiao Rongshi, Ph.D., is a Professor at Beijing Institute of Technology, China. He has long been engaged in research on laser advanced manufacturing physics, laser advanced manufacturing metallurgy, laser advanced manufacturing technology, and applications. He is a council member of the Chinese Optical Society, a council member of the Chinese Society of Mechanical Engineering, deputy director of the Laser Processing Professional Committee of the Chinese Optical Society, and vice chairman of the Special Processing Branch of the Chinese Society of Mechanical Engineering. He graduated from Huazhong University of Science and Technology with a major in welding in 1986 and obtained a doctoral degree in optics from Beijing Institute of Technology in 1997. He is a visiting scholar at the Institute of Technical Physics of the German Aerospace Academy and the Institute of Radiation Tools at the University of Stuttgart in Germany. He has undertaken more than 100 scientific research projects, including the National Key Research and Development Program, National Science and Technology Major Projects, National "863" Program, and National Natural Science Foundation. His research achievements have been applied in industries such as aerospace, rail transportation, automobiles, and chemical machinery. He has won one first prize (first author) of the China Machinery Industry Science and Technology Award, one second prize (first author) of the Beijing Science and Technology Award (Invention Category), and one second prize (second author) of the Beijing Science and Technology Progress Award.Zhao Haiyan, Ph.D., is a long-term professor at Tsinghua University, China. He obtained a bachelor's degree in welding from Xi'an Jiaotong University, China, in 1992 and a doctoral degree in Materials Science and Engineering from Xi'an Jiaotong University, China, in 1997. He has presided over multiple scientific research projects such as the National Key R&D Program of the Ministry of Science and Technology and the National Natural Science Foundation of China. He has achieved rich research results in laser-materials interaction, dynamic behavior of the molten pool, modeling and simulation of welding and additive manufacturing processes, measurement and control of welding residual stress and deformation, failure and performance evaluation of welding and connection, and processing of two-dimensional materials.
